Good governance for Managers and Senior Management

COURSE: GOOD GOVERNANCE IN RESEARCH UNIVERSITIES

The course is aimed at Directors, Administrators and Managers with competencies in the government of the University and strategic vision.

The structure of the activities and workshops will be as follows: 
- Research University: The 4 elements of change.
- The Web Rankings.
- Postgraduate teaching: How to organize.
- Postgraduate strategy diagnostic workshop.
- Research and relationship with society.
- Research: Groups and projects. Webometrics and the government of the University: Way of improvement.
- Research management: Observatory.
- Diagnostic workshop strategy: Research and relationship with society.
- A proposal for the future: Components.
- Workshop discussion and hierarchy of implementation

DISCUSSION FORUMS
In a structured way throughout the program, different discussion forums are held, whose purpose is to enhance the discussion of participants and teamwork.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM
The UPM has an online training platform (virtual classroom Moodle of GATE) that allows participants to expand communication and learning from the exchange of knowledge. This Classroom is especially useful for generating greater dynamism and cohesion among all participants.

MODULAR PROGRAMMING
The total duration of this first course is 16 hours of face-to-face work for 2 days with face-to-face activities. In addition, a job for 4 months is included, with 5 web monitoring reports to facilitate the strategic vision and good governance of the University.

The content of the training program includes in each of its modules both theoretical and practical aspects and workshops. The theme of the course covers the three dimensions of Governance of Research Universities

The methodology of this course will be "Working with people" that can be synthesized in "crossing expert and experienced knowledge" so that what comes to be embodied in a Program that is participated by the university community.
